We headed to the Henry Ford Museum. Why? Because the genius was a BIG TIME collector with BIG TIME money.
Fact: He loved his teacher from high school so much that he had his house moved to the outer grounds of the museum in Greenfield Village.
Fact: He liked the Wright brothers so much that he moved their shop AND their original house (next door) from Ohio to his village.

Fact: He recreated an old town with a mill, a printing press, glass blowing, pottery, a widow's hat shop...you name it, he's got it!
Hat shop

For the boy who wants to be a Pottery Man when he grows up, bat glasses INCLUDED!

Mr. Ford even provided time out benches for little girls who seem to not understand the words, "Don't touch!"

He and Tommy (Thomas Edison) were great buddies.
Fact: He had his little invention shop moved to his village quarters

Gretchen not happy with this point in the tour. "Who needs electricity anyway?" I tell her.

A few back stretches

And a chance to be the head teacher...She was soon back to her bossy, giggly self.

What a lovely day, why not spend it by this LIFE SIZE WIND MILL!

Part II: The inside of the museum tomorrow. It's just too big. Our heads were going to explode.
