Yard News

We are in our first lawsuit ever against Chris Jensen and I am learning so much about the process. We will probably not see a dime, but knowing we can prevent him from doing this to others will be justice enough.  The complaint is filed and the summons.  We are now sending a constable to deliver the news that yes, Chris Jensen, you may think you can hide and this will all go away, but he will find you and you will have to be a grown up and face the consequences of spending other people's money.

In other news, we have hired a new landscaper and my only regret is that we didn't find him sooner. He's great and we have walls! That was our main concern before the winter hit and we made it just in time.

This is the board form method that Mat has always wanted to do.  You basically stamp the wood grain pattern into the concrete and the remove it.

I can not tell you how nice it is to see workers actually working outside my window.

We actually have physical concrete trucks in the flesh at our house

We got dumped on a few days later, but here is the gist of the board form concrete

Always a hit to watch the girls perform.  This year we happened to have a bit of excitement when the girl standing next to Micah puked front and center. Then she continued to puke all the way up the aisle.  Crazy! She is to Micah's left--the one who is looking sick.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we were on our own. Mat was on call at the hospital so we decided to do our own nontraditional Thanksgiving.  We went up to Millcreek, we put our a turkey breast and vegetables in a Dutch oven and went on a snow hike while it cooked.

Foo didn't last too long in these cold temperatures.  He ended up in first class in Mat's jacket.

When we returned, we were a little nervous about our dinner being done, but the Dutch oven never disappoints!

It was a trick to keep Foo warm and away from the turkey while you ate.
