1st Real Concert for the Kids

Becky's son loves Imagine Dragons and so do we.  We grabbed tickets way back in May.  before the concert we dined on tacos and gelato.

Then we jammed!

The music was rocking our ears by the first song so we quickly grabbed some toilet paper to stuff into our ears.

Dan Reynolds came so close, yet, so far away.

Hopefully, it will be an experience my kids will remember!

Micah's Baptism

The day we got back from Argentina the following day our youngest and last got baptized.

Untitled

Always weird when you wrap things up with your youngest, but she is a gem! And, She even had Elder Nelson there presiding and talking directly to her.

Untitled

Since the house is under serious construction, we had her put on some gear to warn our guests of the dangers of coming over to eat.

Untitled

The best part of the day was her dripping wet standing on the locker room bench in her underwear dancing and giggling! I will not forget it.  We both laughed until we couldn't breathe. Love that Micah

Happy Birthday to this Rad Girl!

Facts: Fun, giggly, snappy, yappy, honest with her opinions, reads A. Lot., patriotic, party-otic, says thank you, will get you anything, dresses herself, loves her hair down and not brushed, loves her dog, loves movies, loves her snacks, loves her friends, tolerates piano and jobs.
Eight is great!

Phase Two of House

We are finally getting phase two of our house this summer which includes, paint, trim, soffit and facia, and the yard. We started by taking out this wall to put in a sliding glass door.  Why did we not do this when we were redoing the inside last year? I don't want to talk about it actually.

La Caille and The Send Off

Eileen's birthday was June 17th so we decided to treat this wonderful lady to dinner to La Caille... a day early

Untitled

My kids were trying to be so well mannered and proper, but when Gretchen had a mouth full of water, she launched that mouthful of water all over me when she almost spilled her glass on the table.  It was pretty funny because she was trying SO HARD to be a fancy lady.

Untitled

We all lost our manners after that.

Beautiful food!

Beautiful astmosphere

We made one last stop to Trader's Joes

Untitled

Eileen showing the cashier proof she found all five stuffed animals and she deserves a sucker! He replied, "ma'am, technically we're not supposed to take picture in here..."

And, then we sent them off

Becket will be taller than MJ next time we see her.  That's my guess.

So tired!

We drove home through Jenny Lake and stopped in Jackson Hole for lunch.  We drove through Idaho and we were warned by the weather service that there was a tornado on the rise and to take shelter immediately!  Did we listen? Uh, no. We did not.  We were clearly going the other way and would not run into it.  But, we did drive right to it. It never formed to touch the ground but it was sure an angry swirling storm above us.  Baseball sized hail pounced on our rental and adrenaline rushed. Fearing it was going to damage it, I drove on at a slow pace to lesson the speed of the hail hitting the car.  We stopped in Soda Springs, a little shoken up along with several others trying to process what just happened back there.

Right after I commented that this cloud looked like Satan's bumhole, tennis ball sized hail rained down on us. Karma.
