Headed NARth (Said with my best Utah accent)

We're hitting the road (not surprising by this point) headed to Bear Lake for Mat's family get together.

Along the way we stop in Parowan (pronounced ParoWIN) to visit Grambo. The great and legendary, Grandma Elaine.

You can see the special relationship Mat has with his Grandma. I still remember Mat combing down his Grandma's fly away hair on our 3rd date. She was fixing soup for us in the kitchen and Mat licked his fingers to tuck her hair back into her beauty shop shape. I knew then, that man was marriage material.

She is one sharp lady and has a cute little giggle to enjoy when you sit on her porch to visit.

The kids always find the swings built by the late Dan Harris and the horse swing built by his current dad, Bob (horse swing not featured because pictures were too blurry).

Don't know what is up with the 1920's leg pose

or the Gorilla Grin, but they are showing their excitement nonetheless.

We also met up with some former neighbors of ours from Hershey. We haven't seen the Hansen's for a good 5 years.

Becket was 18 mths and Maddie was just over two when we went our separate residency ways. Look how they've grown and how toothless they seem.

And look at the additions that have come since that time. Life is quite the treat when your paths finally meet up again and your family has taken on a whole new look.

I'd call this a day well spent. Becket even had time to stop and take a self portrait of himself. Isn't that talent! The funny guy has landed in NARthern Utah.
