Violation of the Law

Traffic violation. It was bound to happen. When you are driving on illegal plates, you think "what if I got pulled over?" every time I would get behind the wheel. That kind of thinking gets you pulled over. I should stop thinking ALTOGETHER, but when your moral conscience takes over, it's hard to put away that thought and then you're arguing with yourself in your head like a crazy person.Welcome to my world.

Baby Doll, our beloved mini van, took a while to get registered, but it passed with some creativity. Now that it was all registered pretty, we never put on the plates. How long does it take to grab the tool and screw on a new plate? A matter of minutes, but for the Harrises, 3 months. Knowing that it was going to take a lot of effort to grab that screw driver from the shed, I stuck the plates in the car just in case.

I got pulled over after volunteering at the elementary school. I ran not one, but two stop signs. They were in stupid places if you ask me. Mat purposely runs them on occasion because they are that arguably stupid. But, I did the touch and go and I graciously accept my reward of a ticket. I also had to explain why I was driving on illegal plates. FUN!

I've always wanted to make a birdhouse out of my old license plates. We definitely have collected enough of them.
