Baptism

Becket was baptized the Saturday after thanksgiving with his cousin Sequoia. They were born two days apart! What a party. I'm glad the other Harrises (Mat's brother) were able to make the trip. We've been out east for about ten years with their family, so it was only appropriate that they get baptized together. Here are some photos from when they were younger.

In Vermont at Shelbourne Farms

In Hershey in my old bunker

And now they were baptized. It is one of the ordinances in our church that a child can be baptized if he or she so wishes at the age of 8. The priesthood holder (usually the father)and the person being baptized wear white and then they are immersed in a font full of water.

Afterwords, we had a dinner in the cultural hall.

I told Becket that he should probably write down his thoughts about this special day. His reply:

"Oh come on! You mean I have homework!"

Oh congrats to your sweet Becket!! What a special day. Loved his response. I still can't believe we are old enough to have 8 year olds. We need to get together and act really stupid (won't be hard to do) so we feel young again. :)
