Boy is Liking Pumpkins (Here's Why)

Becket has never been a fan of pumpkin anything, but when the teach sends home a recipe involving pumpkin ("Oh! Now you want to make it!") It's called the sentence recipe. He learned that a sentence is the following recipe:

3 ingredients

*subject
*verb
*predicate

With this assignment was attached a recipe for pumpkin chocolate cookies that only had 3 ingredients

*spice cake mix
*1 15 oz can pumpkin
* chocolate chips

Mix cake and pumpkin, add chocolate chips and bake at 350 until golden brown

He's been begging me to make these so he was so excited when we did!

He also won the overall winner in the school reflection's contest at school. He got this HUGE pumpkin that said "You've been picked for best film!" He also won a pack of butterfingers, a medal, paints, pizza, ice cream, red box movie, Swedish fish, and lots of certificates and ribbons. I asked him how he felt today and he said: "I am one lucky boy today." And then he just giggled with surprise. He was so happy and I was happy for him. Gretchen also entered a poem and visual art. They both got to shake the hand of the mayor of Cottonwood Heights. Gretchen was waaay excited about that. Gretchen: "I actually got to touch the mayor! Can you believe it?!" Becket moves onto the district competition. I wish him luck.
