West Virginie!

The Fam took a trip to West Virginie this weekend. Have you ever had one of those trips or days when something is working against you? You try to make things run smooth and it just ain't happening? I should have have consulted my Chinese Almanac or read my daily horoscope. I'm sure it would have said, "Do not travel this weekend!"

FROWNS

Car battery died for a split second as we were pulling out of the driveway. We had to jump it with Mat's car.

Two hours of sitting on the freeway due to a diesel landing belly up on the interstate (I do hope the driver was okay)


Micah was given permission to wander since we were stuck, stuck, stuck--hence, no car seat.


Missed appointments that we had set up

New Condo sneak peak gone bad due to shirtless college students not cleaning up pad, especially their clothes that seemed to be the common carpet throughout the house

Stuck around for church until 1PM hoping to make some connections with the people we've been talking to, but as it turns out it was stake conference that day and it had happened 3hrs earlier.

Got home at 9PM instead of 6PM --had we known about church a tad earlier

There were some fun times so I can't be totally a neg about this trip.

West Virginia will provide us with lots of hiking and bouldering opportunities

The People are really friendly (If you don't wave they could take offense)

It was supposed to rain all weekend and we got a few dabbles at the most

Becket, Gretchen, and Micah do not complain about riding so long in the car

There is a swimming pool included with the condo that my kids have not stopped talking about since they learned about their new whereabouts. I have to explain the whole season thing over and over.

A new adventure begins and we're not sure we want to jump!
(but we're going to have to)
