Curling

I am now going to poll you people of girlish decent about eyelashes. I'm just curious if curling your eyelashes is a craze of the past or if it is a must for luscious lash survival. I couldn't be more passionate about this survey.

I have never done it...I tell people it is because I have naturally curly lashes, but really those torture devices scare me.

I did not for several years, but for the last 5 I do every time I put on my makeup. I have short straight lashes, curling makes all the difference in my done up eyes.

I have to curl my lashes because of my ASian lid, the lashes are hidden and short. So, yes I curl and it's hardly torture.

Oh, I'm OBSESSED with eyelashes. Been curling them since like ninth grade. Granted, mine naturally point downward. But the best part - I HEAT my eyelash curler. It's quite the procedure - you have to blow dry it just the right amount so that it acts as a curling iron and not a burn iron. But seriously - have you seen my eyelashes? ;)

I don't but I think I am totally out of touch! I think about doing it occasionally but I don't even own a curler.

ALWAYS curl mine. Have for years! Takes 5 seconds and makes a BIG difference. Never tried heating the curler though...hmmm...
p.s. that picture of Mat and your baby FLYING in the air - so cool!

I have always been too scared to try them. One day, Kolby's sister was curling her lashes and her husband jumped out from around the corner and scared her. She yanked her hand down really fast, and the curler tore off all her eyelashes on that one eye. She had a huge black and blue eye for a while, and had to wear false eyelashes. Scary! I do love the look of curly lashes though...

Personally the little gadget scares me. I don't use it.

I only use it on special occasions since I heard that it can actually break off your lashes! EEKK!! But then I also heard that it won't break them if you do it before you put your mascara on...so who knows! :0)

Yes. I curl mine and I have for 20+ years. Isn't that sad that I have been wearing make-up that long?

Curling eyelashes...oh man I am lucky if I can curl my hair :) And now after Rachel's horror story, I don't think that I am too interested in trying. YIKES!

p.s. You are SERIOUSLY funny, I had fun reading your blog..hope you don't mind. Sure miss the gals from Durham 1st :)

I own several curlers but only do it for a show (which I haven't done in years) or occasionally when we go out. I mostly find them handy to put children into submission. :)

Never done it... Also, yes! John did serve in Spain with Jake Gildea. what a small world! Tell him hi from John and maybe ask him to comment on our blog so they can hook up.

My top two make-up items are my eyelash curler and lip gloss or even chapstick. My eyelashes are completely straight if not curled, so it makes a big difference (to me at least--I doubt anyone else notices).

I think I'm just lame, but I can't get it to work right. I would love to have a more curled lash- so maybe I'll take some of these great tips and start curling!

The few times I actually get ready I attempt at trying to curl my lashes! but normally only because Kylee loves that funky looking tool and always wants hers done.

Thought it was cool to try when I was about 16. Now it would be just one more thing to mess with. That's probably why I'm not cool anymore...though that would imply I was at 16. Doh...

oohhh, I forgot to vote...but just in case you need someone to break a tie: I own one but probably use it six times a year. When I'm trying hard to look cute. I probably should try more often.
