Micah or Rexine?

You may think this is my mom Rexine, but it's actually Micah pretending to be Rexine.  She doesn't miss a thing! Chair, red blanket, book (or crossword), glasses, and smile.

Another one too--our secretary's neighbor was getting rid of this mid century chair, but needed to be recovered.  So, that's what we did.  We bought us a fine cow hide and got us a new comfy lounge.





Wait until you see what Mat does with the extra leather! Scream!

If that wasn't enough (sigh) he also made this light out of hubcaps and pipe.  He's unstoppable and very hard to keep up with. He makes my head spin and then I faint until someone throws water on my face.

And now he's rigging up this diddy using pallet scraps and leftover paint from our former owners. See what I'm talking about? He doesn't stop, but I love it. I cherish all of his projects.

Happy Birthday Becket (Nov 4th)

What does this a 9 yr old boy want for his birthday? He wants his cousins to come over to his house for dinner.  He also wanted 3 ingredient chocolate chip pumpkin cookies instead of cake for his birthday.  Not too hard and not a high maintenance child.

We did take him to Boondocks to play a little.  That was the first time the kids had gone somewhere like that.... Becket said he lapped everyone on the bumper cars (not the case) but it was fun to watch him be proud of himself.

Later we had ice cream at Baskin Robins and enjoyed Gretchen's made up tunes from the back seat.  She sounded like Billie Holiday. It was fun to hang out as a family and laugh together.  We really needed some family time.



The next day we baked up the pumpkin cookies and had fun with some gak

The kids were at Aunt Lindsay's for a cousin time.  Mat and I were able to go X country skiing and have a lovely date- We caught the new Skyfall movie (thumbs up), ate at an awesome Mediterranean restaurant called Mazza, went to the Tea Grotto, went to eclectic shops, grabbed a REAL hot chocolate from Hatches and loved the time to say , "Hi, I'm Mic, I'm glad to know you again."


 Scout trip was also canceled!

 

 At least they were prepared, like a good scout should be.
