Fouw Yeaws Old
Micah is finally 4. She has been 4 in her mind since a few minutes after she turned 3, but now she is over the hump. All we can say is she is a fun, happy kid to be with. The flowing blonde hair, the constant giggling, the Rs that sound like Ws, the mostly pleasant disposition. We just don't want her to grow up. We love you Mikey!

Spotlight: Steve
Steve Hanks, Mat's close friend from his youth, dropped in while he was visiting from Houston with his family. He is such a devoted fan of the Pipeline he practically begged us for a post. Here you go Stephen. You've earned it. He and his lovely wife Ashley were married a week after us and had their reception in Mat's parents backyard, in this very gazebo below. The significance of where they were standing was lost on his kids, Caden and Olivia. Anyway, if you are a passenger on a Skywest flight and have a particularly smooth landing, there is a good chance Captain Steve is your pilot.

This be the place!
We made it to Utah yesterday in the later afternoon. First order of business, the bathroom. With our bladders softened we were able to unload the truck; one load to the garage until our apartment is ready and the second load was delivered to Mat's parents' pad (thank you). We hired some help from a company called family and close friends. They are free and they will work until their bones ache. We were very happy to find this moving company.
So, here we be in SLC. Um, that rhymes. We're here, but we're kinda not. It still feels like we just came for a visit and we'll be returning back to West Virginia in a few weeks. That's mostly due to the fact that we're still living out of suitcases and aren't set up yet. It will feel more final when I have all my stuff at my finger tips ...my red water cup, my night stand to dump my hair ties on, my toiletry organizers. You know, stuff you can count on.
Speaking of stuff, there is nothing like following the moving truck staring at all the things you own in 1560 cubic ft.

While I'm waiting to move in, I will need to address my candy and caffeine addiction that has developed during the cross country drive. It saved my family because it kept me awake, but it's time to let it go and attend rehab.

Wy Homing
A Harris feat last night! We made it to Wyoming last night in 15 hrs and 3 min. I had to manually straighten my club leg once we got to the hotel, but we're here and it feels so good to have Nebraska behind us ( no offense if your from NE, it's just one big pasture to drive across).
We were pretty much disgusting last night, fuzzy teeth and all. I wore the same clothes two days in a row and my hair was more brunette then blond. The kids wore their pajamas in and out of gas stations all day too. Thankfully today we are whole different brood.
